Rates, terms and a real example
We believe you should see the cost of borrowing before you apply.
Representative example
A $10,000 loan repaid over 36 months at 19.99% APR would have 36 monthly payments of $371.58. The total amount repaid would be $13,377.06, including $3,377.06 in interest.
Some lenders charge an origination fee, typically 1% to 10% of the loan amount, which is included in the APR. Your actual rate, fees and terms depend on the lender and on factors like your credit history, income and debts. Not all applicants will qualify, and not all loan amounts, terms or rates are available in every state. Repayment terms are never shorter than 61 days. See full disclosures.
Borrow responsibly
- Only borrow what you need. A smaller loan means lower total interest.
- Compare the APR, not just the payment. APR includes interest and most fees, so it's the best way to compare loans.
- Make sure the payment fits your budget. Missed or late payments can lead to late fees, collection activity and damage to your credit.
- Read your loan agreement. Check for origination fees, late fees and prepayment terms before you sign.
Common questions
Is NeedMoreFunds a lender?
No. NeedMoreFunds is a free loan-matching service. We don't make loans or credit decisions. If you're matched with a lender, the lender decides whether to offer you a loan and sets the rate and terms.
Does it cost anything?
No. Our service is free to you. We may be paid by lenders and partners when you're connected with them, which can affect which lenders you see. See our advertiser disclosure.
Will this affect my credit score?
Submitting our form does not run a credit check and won't affect your credit score. If you choose to continue with a lender, that lender may check your credit, which can include a hard inquiry that may affect your score. The lender should tell you before it does.
What do I need to qualify?
Each lender sets its own requirements. Most look at your credit history, income, existing debts and ability to repay. You'll usually need to be at least 18, a U.S. resident, and have a bank account and a valid ID. Not everyone will qualify.
How fast can I get the money?
It depends on the lender. If you're approved and accept an offer, some lenders can send funds as soon as the next business day. Others may take longer.
What if I don't pay on time?
Late or missed payments may lead to late fees, collection activity and negative reports to credit bureaus, which can lower your credit score. If you're having trouble paying, contact your lender right away. Policies on late payments, renewals and collections vary by lender and are in your loan agreement.
How is my information used?
We use it to help match you with lenders and to contact you about your request. We share it with lenders and partners so they can review your request. You can read the details, and your choices, in our Privacy Policy.
